Julie Ramona Tjalas
Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Julie Ramona Tjalas is a dedicated creative and community member. Since 2016, she has worked to find new ways to tell stories. From crafting video game inspired web shows to creating unique award-winning short films. After graduating Cum Laude, Julie found work in the public sector and currently works at Central Arizona College as the Video Production Specialist. She continues to create outside the 9-5 from photoshoots and music video productions to protest/event coverage.
Her other work in media production includes video editing, motion graphics, photography, and videography work for the State of Arizona Supreme Court, Savant Systems Inc., The Colin Higgins Foundation, and more. She is proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Julie Tjalas is also a big advocate for diverse representation in film and a huge advocate for the LGBTQ community. She is the former president of ASU's TransFam, a social and support club for transgender students at ASU. Much of her work has to do with the empowerment of women and giving a voice to those left out of the celluloid conversation.
